An alleged commercial sex worker operating in Sekondi has reportedly been severely assaulted by a client following a disagreement over payment and service duration.
The victim, a Nigerian national who identified herself as Nancy, told Connect FM’s Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson that the incident occurred on Friday night when a man approached her to solicit her services. According to her account, the two agreed on a fee of GH¢50 for a short time and proceeded to the man’s residence.
Nancy said the situation turned violent when she informed the client that she was tired and could not continue after realising he was extending the agreed time. She alleged that the client then demanded a refund of the GH¢50, which she refused, insisting she had already rendered the agreed service.
She further claimed that the man demanded her mobile phone, and upon her refusal, he assaulted her severely.
The victim said she has since reported the incident to the Sekondi Police, who issued her a medical form to seek treatment at a health facility as investigations continue.
